Active Projects in Ireland

Greystones Church of the Nazarene -
A Community Hub

Greystones is currently the only Nazarene church in the Republic of Ireland. We envision a vibrant centralised hub in the south of Ireland that will have impact in church planting, theological education and leadership development across the country.

As a local church, Greystones will continue to be a hub for community development initiatives and contribute to the life of the town and surrounding area.

Improved Worship and Community Gathering Space.‍

Our current church hall is functional, but not adequate for all the areas of church life that take place within its walls. Funerals, weddings, baptisms and large church events would be much better served through the planned upgrade of the facility.

Introduction of pre-school with outside play-area

The creation of a pre-school on the church site is in response to the urgent need for more child-care services for children within Greystones.

A coffee shop selling ethically sourced coffee at affordable prices

While creating a space for social gathering and connection, this will provide employment and volunteer opportunities for students, young people and those looking to obtain valuable work experience.

Enhanced Community Development Opportunities

This purpose-built facility will improve the already existing programmes that serve the community - especially children, youth, elderly and people with disability.

Affordable, high quality rental spaces will be leased to community groups who benefit the town - such as health and fitness programmes, language classes, music and art, selected social events, first aid trainings and more.

Environmental preservation and Allotments

Preserve biodiversity of plot located between the church and the Three Trout River and along with allotments for vegetable gardening.

All projects featured by The Ireland Partnership have been approved by the Church of the Nazarene International. All donations will be processed via the Global Ministry Center.

Training, Education and Leadership Development

Classroom space for leadership development, theological education (in conjunction with Nazarene Theological College Manchester) and other learning opportunities - equipping people for ministry in Ireland.
